M.O.D.O.K. MvC3 Character Theme Song Review
M.O.D.O.K.!?! Raise your hand if you saw this one coming...
Right. No hands.
Now raise your hands if -- after accepting that he was in the game -- you expected M.O.D.O.K. to have the best Marvel vs. Capcom 3 character theme...
Right! No hands again.
Not only does the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing have a spot in MvC3, but he has the best theme song. BY FAR. At least, in my present opinion, M.O.D.O.K.'s only competition is Felicia, and she can't handle all the awesome in his song.
It's weird, it's upbeat, and it's catchy. It's got a retro touch to the melody, but the percussion's very current. It's also one of the few MvC3 themes where the verse, bridge, and chorus are all equally excellent.
Of course, my opinion could change. Or a new character could be announced and their theme could blow M.O.D.O.K. out of the water. There's room for improvement. But still... this song is unexpectedly kickass.
